Weak force applied for score card stock then manual cut with exacto to get the mundo out! Still working out kinks in the cutting process. After characters were cut out I mounted them on a left over piece from the previous Die Cut Eye.
Die Cut Eye
Todays project took approx 4 hrs from photograph to final cut and assembled card stock.
Manga Eye.
I took a photo of my original drawing of an eye. This is where it all begins. This was then p
hotoshopped to a bitmap file, imported to Inkscape then auto-traced to create the initial scalable vector graphic with a bazillion nodes.
The OCD work begins! Deleting all the unnecessary nodes. Increasing the size of the tiny non-cutable nodes.
Then the Eye was cut out of black card stock and overlaid on yellow card stock.
First Cut
I have recently acquired a Silver Bullet Die Cutting machine. Here is the first cut! One of my photos turned into silhouette using photoshop and then cut to plain card stock.
