Marion Porter. My Aunt.

Marion just recently celebrated her 97th Birthday in January.  Lovely woman.  My father's sister and the last of my relatives of her generation. She lives in a care facility and is visited daily by her son John.

Mind Maps

I have been reading Tony Buzans' 'The Ultimate Book of Mind Maps'.  I have found it to be inspiring to create drawings of what I want to do instead of making Todo lists.  You can find out more about from the following links

Yeppers, In the beginning

Reading Ogdens’ take on the ‘Future’  which is now the ‘Present’ and in some cases the ‘Past’ is interesting.

It is quite incredible the advances in science, technology and art that have all taken place within the last twenty years.

It is a time of real fast change.  ’Adapt or become part of the road’.

Learning is now a constant activity. Sitting in a classroom is a thing of the past.

Permanent jobs are becoming relics of another ‘age’. Someone somewhere else can and will do it faster and cheaper than you.

Thus we need the connection economy to survive and indeed thrive. In the connection economy one needs to stand out. In order to stand out one must create something that is meaningful to someone. Seth Godin describes this well in his book ‘The Icarus Deception’
