Cut #52 Circle Cowboy

Today’s project is a variation on the Bear Cowboy cuts (#49 and #49a). This version is a four-layer, four-colour composition: red, yellow, and black on green.

The piece was inspired by a technique known as Digital Circularism

Cut #50 Mosaic Owl

This paper cut was created from a photograph of a mosaic owl embedded in the ground. The mosaic can be found at the corner of Lakewood Drive and Adanac Street in Vancouver, BC.

Unfortunately, I don’t know the name of the original artist to credit for this beautiful design.

The piece is cut from black cardstock and mounted on orange.

Cut #49 Handcut Bear Cowboy, #49A Die Cut Bear Cowboy

The original Bear Cowboy cut (#49), created freehand with scissors and inspired by The Amazing Paper Cuttings of Hans Christian Andersen, was cut from A4 printer paper and mounted on green cardstock.

Hand cut Bear Cowboy

The hand-cut design above was adapted into a die-cut version, Bear Cowboy #49A. It was cut from yellow cardstock and mounted on red. See the images below for the final result.
